Могло бы быть и меньше, но свои роли сыграли резонанс и важность дела для общества, указывает адвокат Григорий Красовский:
"Если мы посмотрим на практику в США по делам об изнасилованиях или сексуальных домогательствах, то стабильной статистической картины не видно.
К сожалению, за то, в чем был признан виновным Вайнштейн, ему могли дать и 3 - 5 лет. Если бы он был обычным уличным хулиганом, то вряд ли бы он получил 23 года. 10, 15 лет (мог бы получить).
В Голливуде и в театральной индустрии много лет все прекрасно понимали, что часть актрис и актеров подвергались сексуальным домогательствам, делались намеки, непристойные предложения.
Поэтому тут общество получило определенный урок.
А самое главное – эти две отрасли.
Им однозначно дали знать, что злоупотребление со стороны богатого продюсера или режиссера (не будут терпеть)".

Процесс над бывшим голливудским продюсером начался 6 января 2020 года. 24 февраля жюри присяжных признало Вайнштейна виновным по двум из пяти рассматриваемых исков: в принуждении к оральному сексу сотрудницы реалити-шоу «Проект "Подиум"» Мириам Хэйли и изнасиловании начинающей актрисы Джессики Манн. Также к делу приобщили показания актрисы Аннабеллы Шиорры, утверждающей, что продюсер изнасиловал ее в 1993–1994 годах, и нескольких других женщин, свидетельствовавших о сексуальных домогательствах с его стороны.

Альберту Шпееру, министру обороны нацистской Германии, прямо или косвенно повинному в смертях тысяч, а то и миллионов людей, гуманный Нюрнбергский трибунал впаял 20. Харви Вайнштейна, повинного в том, что был невоздержан с девушками и склонял их к сексу в обмен на разные карьерные перспективы, вчера закатали в тюрьму на 23 года. Из огромного списка "жертв" (94 он якобы домогался, 15 изнасиловал) в суде свидетельствовали только две, а за рассказанные ими истории в Голливуде точно не дали бы "Оскара".

Кстати, если кто-то помнит, движение "Я не боюсь сказать" пришло к нам с Украины раньше, чем эпидемия MeeToo разразилась в Америке. А кейс депутата Слуцкого многие сравнивали с делом Харви: тут и мужчина, имеющий власть, тут и девушки, через много лет вдруг "вспомнившие", как было дело. Но у нас волна так и не поднялась, история "не взлетела", сошла на нет. И можно сколько угодно сваливать это на то, что Россия отсталая, что она "не доросла" и "не готова" к жестоким чудесам просвещённого Запада. Я объясняю это проще: мы просто более здоровые. И мы пока ещё хотим снимать кино, наслаждаться романами и заниматься сексом с женщинами.
Либеральное общество стоит на культе жертвы, и на алтарь этого культа только что положили Вайнштейна, блестящего продюсера и, судя по всему, очень одинокого и закомплексованного мужчину. Потому что слово жертвы — последнее слово и не подлежит сомнению.
Харви можно любить или не любить, но то, что с ним сделали, не вписывается ни в какие представления о соразмерности вины и наказания (да и просто справедливости и законности тоже).

Продюсер, которого обвинили в насилии и домогательствах более 30 актрис, за два года расследования потерял все — от бизнеса до здоровья. Но самое страшное впереди. Тюрьма, в которой предстоит отбывать наказание сроком от 10 до 29 лет заключения, считается одной из самых страшных в мире.

Напомним, что продюсера десятков оскароносных фильмов признали виновным по двум из пяти пунктов обвинения: в преступных действиях сексуального характера с одной женщиной и изнасиловании другой.
При этом вина по самому серьезному пункту обвинений — "хищническому сексуальному насилию" — не была доказана. С 2017 года в домогательствах его обвинили больше 100 актрис, включая топовых звезд Голливуда: Анджелину Джоли, Уму Турман, Сальму Хайек.

Harvey Weinstein will spend 23 years in a New York State prison after being sentenced by Supreme Court Judge James Burke on Wednesday morning.
Weinstein was convicted Feb. 24 of committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree and third-degree rape.
The sentencing ends Weinstein's New York trial, which began Jan. 6. His team has said they will appeal the jury's decision to convict him on two of the five charges he faced.
Judge Burke, before issuing his sentence, told Weinstein that he will be formally registered as a sex offender.
For his conviction on the first-degree count of criminal sexual act, Weinstein was given 20 years in prison plus five years of supervised release. On the other convicted charge, third-degree rape, he was given three years in prison.
The judge decided to make the sentences consecutive, rather than concurrent.

During his career as a film producer, Harvey Weinstein, formerly of Miramax Films and The Weinstein Company (TWC), exploited his influential position to commit criminal sexual acts including rape.
In October 2017, The New York Times and The New Yorker reported that dozens of women accused Harvey Weinstein of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse over a period of at least thirty years. Over eighty women in the film industry have since accused Weinstein of such acts. Weinstein denied "any non-consensual sex." Shortly after, he was dismissed from The Weinstein Company (TWC), was expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and other professional associations, and retired from public view.
Criminal investigations into complaints from at least six women are ongoing in Los Angeles, New York City, and London. In May of 2018, Weinstein was arrested in New York and charged with rape and other offenses.[1] In February of 2020, he was found guilty of rape in the third degree and a criminal sexual act.[2] In March of 2020, he was sentenced to 23 years of imprisonment.[3]

Harvey Weinstein CBE (/ˈwaɪnstiːn/; born March 19, 1952) is a American former film producer and a convicted sex offender. Conviction and sentencing
After deliberating for five days, a jury convicted Weinstein on February 24, 2020 of two of five criminal charges: one count of criminal sexual assault in the first degree and one count of rape in the third degree.[7][8][77][78] The jury found him not guilty regarding predatory sexual assault, which could have led to a life sentence.[79][80][81][82] He was remanded to jail at Rikers Island in New York City pending his sentencing hearing on March 11, when he was sentenced to 23 years in prison.[10][83][84] He has said through his attorneys that he would appeal the verdict.[85] Weinstein still faces a criminal trial in Los Angeles, after which he will begin serving his sentence in New York before any possible sentence in California.[84] As of March 13, 2020, it is unclear if this appeal will be filed before or after his upcoming charges on similar counts in Los Angeles.[86]

Bill Cosby will remain in prison for sexual assault, after the Pennsylvania Superior Court affirmed his conviction for three counts of aggravated indecent assault Tuesday. Cosby is currently serving a sentence of three to 10 years for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004.
A jury found Cosby guilty in April 2018, and he was sentenced in September of that year. During the trial, Constand, who was working for the women's basketball team at Temple University when she met the famous entertainer, testified that while Cosby had initially been a mentor to her, he became a sexual predator who gave her drugs before assaulting her.
More than 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct. During the trial, the court heard from five witnesses — Heidi Thomas, Chelan Lasha, Janice Baker-Kinney, Janice Dickinson and Lise-Lotte Lublin — who said they had encounters with Cosby that were very similar to Constand's. They accused Cosby of drugging them and assaulting them.

William Henry Cosby, Jr. (/ˈkɒzbi/; born July 12, 1937) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, musician, author, and convicted sex offender. Cosby began his career as a stand-up comic at the hungry i in San Francisco during the 1960s. He then landed a starring role in the television show I Spy, followed by his own sitcom The Bill Cosby Show, which ran for two seasons from 1969 to 1971. In 1972, using the Fat Albert character developed during his stand-up routines, Cosby created, produced, and hosted the animated comedy television series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids which ran until 1985, centering on a group of young friends growing up in an urban area. Throughout the 1970s, Cosby starred in about half a dozen films, and he occasionally returned to film later in his career. In 1976, he earned his Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His dissertation discussed the use of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids as a teaching tool in elementary schools.
Beginning in the 1980s, Cosby produced and starred in the television sitcom The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992 and was rated as the number one show in America for 1985 through 1989. The sitcom highlighted the experiences and growth of an affluent African-American family. Cosby produced the spin-off sitcom A Different World, which aired from 1987 to 1993. Cosby's reputation was tarnished during the mid-2010s when numerous women made sexual assault accusations against him, the earliest dating back decades. More than 60 women have accused him of either attempted sexual assault, rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, child sexual abuse, or sexual misconduct, all of which he has denied, and the statute of limitations had by the mid-2010s expired in nearly all cases. Sexual assault convictions
Cosby has been the subject of highly publicized accusations of rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery, child sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct, the earliest of which were said by his accusers to have taken place in the mid-1960s. In October 2014, a part of comedian Hannibal Buress's comedy routine that described sexual misbehavior by Cosby went viral, resulting in more women coming forward to state that they were assaulted by Cosby. The dates of the alleged incidents span from 1965 to 2008 across ten U.S. states and one Canadian province.[63][64][65]
Most of the acts fall outside of the statutes of limitations for criminal prosecution, but criminal charges were filed against Cosby in one case and numerous civil lawsuits have been brought against him. As of November 2015, eight related civil suits were active against Cosby.[71][72] High-profile attorney Gloria Allred was representing 33 of the alleged victims. In July 2015, some of the court records from Andrea Constand's 2005 civil suit against Cosby were unsealed and released to the public. The full transcript of his deposition was also released to the media by a court reporting service. In his testimony, Cosby admitted to casual sex, involving the recreational use of the sedative methaqualone (Quaaludes), with a series of young women, and acknowledged that his dispensing the prescription drug was illegal.[73][74][75]
Based on incidents in January 2004, Cosby was found guilty on April 26, 2018, of three counts of aggravated indecent assault against a Toronto woman, after a jury trial.[76][77] On September 25, 2018, he was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison and a $25,000 fine plus court costs of both trials.[2][3][4] After a brief period in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, Cosby was moved to a state prison, SCI Phoenix in Skippack Township, Pennsylvania, on September 25, 2018, where he was confined to a single cell.[78][79] On January 28, 2019, Cosby was moved from administrative segregation into the general population.[80] On December 10, 2019, the verdict was upheld on appeal.[81]

Criminal proceedings and trial No. 1
On September 6, 2016, Judge Steven T O'Neill set a trial date in the case of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. William H. Cosby Jr., in which Cosby is being tried for three counts of aggravated indecent assault of Andrea Constand. O'Neill set a trial date of June 5, 2017.[119] The judge ruled that Cosby is blind and that he may need special accommodations during the proceedings.[132]
On October 6, 2016, Cosby resumed his bid to have his sexual assault case thrown out, arguing that his due process rights were violated.[133][134] On November 16, 2016, O'Neill denied the motion.[135]
Cosby faced a maximum sentence of fifteen to thirty years in prison if found guilty on all three counts and a fine of up to $25,000.[121]

Guilty verdict
On April 26, 2018, a jury found Bill Cosby guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand. The Montgomery County district attorney, Kevin Steele, asked at this point that Cosby's $1 million bail be revoked, suggesting that he owned a private plane and could flee. This prompted an angry outburst from Cosby, who shouted, "He doesn't have a plane, you asshole!"; Cosby was ultimately not ruled a flight risk.[167] All three charges are felonies, punishable by up to 10 years in state prison each and up to a maximum of $25,000 fine each. Cosby's lawyers have said they "definitely" plan to appeal the charges.[167] His sentencing hearing began on September 24, 2018.[168]
On September 25, Cosby was sentenced to three to ten years in prison.[17][169] He was also ordered to pay the cost of the prosecution, $43,611, against him as well as a $25,000 fine.[170] On that day he was placed in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, and moved to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections SCI Phoenix in Skippack Township, Pennsylvania hours afterward.[171]
