The Boers are coming to Russia?

The Boers, descendants of the Dutch settlers of Africa, who are studying the possibility of re-deployment to Russia, may move to the North Caucasus. The Komsomol Prada informs that in the beginning of July the delegation is expected to visit the chapter with Jan Andrian Slebus. They want to communicate with the administration, the local population, politicians and religious figures. If approved by the authorities, over 15,000 Boers from the Republic of South Africa can move to the Stavropol Territory. If successful, other Boers may settle in the Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory and the republics of the NCFD.

White made up about 20% of the population of South Africa, but in recent decades, their number is declining due to low birth rate and migration from the country. After losing power, White became a persecuted minority: over the past 14 years, more than 3,000 farmers were killed, an average of one dead white farmer a day. Russia is interested in the influx of highly skilled migrants, since the area of unused farmland is millions of hectares. On the other hand, it is difficult to say how this program is realizable, since even Russian and Russian-speaking immigrants experience enormous difficulties in obtaining a residence permit, a temporary residence permit and citizenship. Some ethnic Russians, sometimes even born in the RSFSR, for years seize the thresholds of the migration service in order to obtain citizenship. This visit allows us to hope that the situation will improve.

We Speak To Farmers And Farm Workers About Farm Attacks

HuffPost South Africa

Published on Jun 24, 2018

AgriSA found that farm murder rates have decreased to the lowest in 20 years. This challenges statements from AfriForum and Die Suidlanders suggesting farm murders are on the rise.

According to News24, AgriSA's figures — which were based on police statistics, research and media reports — there has, however, been a slight increase in farm attacks. They increased from 478 in 2016/2017 to 561 in 2017/2018.

HuffPost took a deep dive into the lives of farmers and farm workers from two farms who feel their safety in farms is still under threat despite the shift in statistics.

‘Bury them alive!’: White South Africans fear for their future as horrific farm attacks escalate

MARCH 25, 20176:16AM

NEARLY every day, horrific acts of rape, torture and murder are carried out on a community under siege. WARNING: Graphic.

LAST month, British woman Sue Howarth and her husband Robert Lynn were woken at 2am by three men breaking into a window of their remote farm in Dullstroom, a small town in the northeast of South Africa, about 240km from the nearest capital city.

The couple, who had lived in the area for 20 years, were tied up, stabbed, and tortured with a blowtorch for several hours. The masked men stuffed a plastic bag down Mrs Howarth’s throat, and attempted to strangle her husband with a bag around his neck.

The couple were bundled into their own truck, still in their pyjamas, and driven to a roadside where they were shot. Mrs Howarth, 64, a former pharmaceutical company executive, was shot twice in the head. Mr Lynn, 66, was shot in the neck.

Miraculously he survived, and managed to flag down a passer-by early on Sunday morning. Mrs Howarth, who police said was “unrecognisable” from her injuries, had multiple skull fractures, gunshot wounds and “horrific” burns to her breasts.

“Sue was discovered amongst some trees, lying in a ditch,” writes Jana Boshoff, reporter for the local Middelburg Observer newspaper. “Her rescuers managed to find her by following her groans of pain and then noticing drag marks from the road into the field.

“Her head was covered with a towel. Her eyes were swollen shut. She was partially clothed with just scraps of her shirt remaining. Her breasts and upper body was bloody. The plastic bag, shoved down her throat, took some effort to remove because her jaw was clamped down tightly.

“How she managed to breathe with the bag in her throat remains a mystery. One of her rescuers later recalled how Sue was unresponsive except for the constant groaning. Whilst the man ran back to the road to see if an ambulance has not arrived yet, she managed to curl one of her arms around her breasts in a last attempt to protect herself.”

She was rushed to hospital and placed on life support, but died two days later. Due to her British nationality, her murder attracted an unusual amount of overseas media attention.

In any other country, such a crime would be almost unthinkable. But in South Africa, these kinds of farm attacks are happening nearly every day. This year so far, there have been more than 70 attacks and around 25 murders in similar attacks on white farmers.

Earlier this month, for example, 64-year-old Nicci Simpson was tortured with a power drill during an attack involving three men at her home on a farm in the Vaal area, about two hours drive from Johannesburg.

When paramedics arrived, they found three dead dogs, and the woman lying in a pool of blood, spokesman Russel Meiring told News24. “They used a drill to torture her,” police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini said.

Official statistics on farm attacks are non-existent, due to what human rights groups have described as a “cover-up” by the notoriously corrupt — and potentially complicit — South African government.

The most reliable numbers are released by the Transvaal Agricultural Union, which represents commercial farmers, and civil rights group AfriForum.

According to the TAU, last year there were 345 attacks resulting in 70 deaths — the highest death toll since 2008. In 2015 there were 318 attacks resulting in 64 deaths, and the year before there were 277 attacks resulting in 67 deaths.

In total, between 1998 and the end of 2016, 1848 people have been murdered in farm attacks — 1187 farmers, 490 family members, 147 farm employees, and 24 people who happened to be visiting the farm at the time.

While South Africa has one of the highest rates of violent crime anywhere in the world, the attacks on white farmers are no ordinary crimes.

In a 2014 report, “The Reality of Farm Tortures in South Africa”, AfriForum wrote that “the horror experienced during farm tortures is almost incomprehensible”.

“The well-known ‘blood sisters’ from the South African company Crimescene-cleanup have rightly indicated that, in their experience, farm tortures are by far the most horrific acts of violence in South Africa,” the report said.

“They are of the opinion that the term ‘farm murders’ is misleading and that the terms ‘farm terror’ and ‘farm tortures’ are more suitable.”

KILL THE FARMER - A BRIEF STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF POLITICS AND HATE

SPEECH ON THE SAFETY OF SOUTH AFRICAN FARMERS

Ten false allegations and baseless

accusations against white people:

The belief that less than a mere 2% of the white

population are in ownership and control of vast parts

of South Africa’s land6

and the allegation that South

Africa’s wealth and economic resources “still remain

in the hands of those who owned them before 1994,

and the land remains in their control”.7

Also the baseless

allegation that “white settlers” occupy “more than 80%

of South Africa’s land”.8

2. The argument that white people obtained land “as a

result of violent colonial conquest and dispossession of

the black majority”.9

3. The accusation that there is widespread mistreatment

of black farm workers by white farm owners.10

4. The notion that the economic policies of Zimbabwe and

Venezuela should be implemented in South Africa to

fast-track economic growth.11

5. The allegation that black South Africans were enslaved

by white South Africans.12

6. The allegation that white people committed genocide in

South Africa.13

7. The allegation that white people came to South Africa

with the intention to steal the dignity of black people.14

8. The notion that it is not possible for white wealth or

ownership of land to exist and it can only exist as a

result of theft or “white privilege”. 15

9. The use of the words “restitution” and “redistribution”

of land as if they mean the same thing.16

10. The argument that black people were incapable of

committing inhumane acts towards other black people,

until they were taught such by white colonialists who

reduced their humanity.17

South African farm attacks

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to navigationJump to search

In attacks on South African farms, predominantly white farmers and black farm workers[1] are subjected to violent crime, including murder. Farm attacks have been described as "frequent" in the post-Apartheid period, and, although some analysts believe they may be linked to racial animosity within South African society.[2][3][4][5] The South African government, and other analysts, as well as Afrikaner civil rights group Afriforum maintain that farm attacks are part of a broader crime problem in South Africa, and do not have a racial motivation.[1][6][7][8] It also remains unclear if white farmers are victims of violence at a higher rate than the general population,[9][10] with some research showing that black farm workers are the victims of violent criminal attacks at a "far higher rate", by criminal intruders, than white farm workers.[1] Statistics released in 2018 by the South African government showed that while the number of attacks had increased between 2012 and 2018, the number of murders on farms had decreased, year-on-year during the period,[11] and farming organisation AgriSA reported that the murder rate on farms had declined to the lowest level in 20 years,[12] a third of the level in 1998.[13]

A November 2017 analysis by the BBC found that there is insufficient data to estimate a murder rate for South African farmers.[9] Between 1994 and March 2012, there had been 361,015 murders in all of South Africa and between 1990 and March 2012, there had been an estimated 1,544 murders on South African farms of which 208 of the victims were Black.[14] The data for farm attacks is self-reported to a commercial farmer's organisation, Transvaal Agricultural Union. The last government analysis of farm attack victims by race was conducted in 2001. In 2001, the year with the highest number of attacks,[13] the police’s Crime Information Analysis Centre stated that of the 1,398 people attacked on farms, 61.6% were white, 33.3% were black, 4.4% were Asian and 0.7% were listed as “other”, with murders on farms in 2007 accounting for 0.6% of the national total.[15] Racial statistics around crime are no longer collected by the South African government.[16] In January 2015, AfriForum reported that there had been an increase in farm attacks and murders in the previous five years.[17]

White farmers have long complained they are at risk of rising violent crime and that they are ignored by the South African government.[18] The physical isolation of farms,[12] and the perception that farmers have cash (for the payment of wages) and weapons onsite have been described by police as a possible motivation for criminal attacks on farms.[19] In March 2010, the ruling African National Congress defended the apartheid-era song "Kill the Boer (depending on the context, white farmer or Afrikaner)" after a regional high court ruled it as hate speech, after it was sung by then ANC Youth League wing leader Julius Malema.[20] The ANC promised to stop singing the song in November 2012.[21]

Critics say a movement to take in white farmers in Australia is connected to the far right, with supporters who have long purported that there is a "white genocide" taking place in South Africa.[22]
